Super light and comfortable in the hands and amazing screen quality. Inside screen seems a lot more durable than previous iterations. Decreased crease visibility less noticeable. Very comfy in the hands for viewing media.

Hello, recently purchased a Z Fold 8 Ultra as a pre-order, my first folding phone! Battery life is excellent, with a brilliand display/responsiveness due to the super fast processor and a great camera. If you're thinking of making a purchase I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Only just got it. Set up was easy and love the phone. Surprised you could only have 4x4 app layout. Bought the samsung case with it but was disappointed about how much protection it offers. I'm a nervous parent already

This thing is truly a marvel of Engineering! I'm coming from an S23 Ultra and this feels like I'm living in the future. The hinge mechanism is really sturdy and it's so light? It's literally thinner than my old phone but somehow has 3 screens, amazing. I've fitted an Aramid case from Spidgen to keep it safe which is really nice. It still feels very durable though, even with the thinness. Happy with the battery so far, great to finally see SiC battery tech in the phones this year. UI is great as always and very responsive.

It is a truly remarkable phone, thin and with a very useful foldable large screen. But, it is still lacking a few essential things, as it doesn't have magnetic wireless charging capability despite the fact it doesn't have a pen like the Ultra that apparently is the cause for not introducing this feature in the first place, it is not coming with a a screen protector for the external display as it used to, no ultra fast charger in the box as the old chargers are not ultra fast charging but barely 10-15 W, the battery doesn't last more than the previous models or any S models. Overall it is not worth the full price but if you can get a good discount then it is a good purchase.

I love the phone so far the folded screen feels like having a mini tablet on the go. The phones Responiveness is smooth in all tasks ive used it for. The Battery is reasonable with most high end phones. Display on both sceens are really nice. The Hinge is stiff so doesnt feel like its going to flap open or closed on you.Durability the folded screen feel tougher and ive felt i can tap the screen with zero worry.

Always been one for wanting something different. With this phone smaller is bigger! I use the front display more as it is proportioned better. When you open up the hinge is stronger and responds well giving you a good size screen. From then on the software takes over giving you a total change of experience! Very nice great!.

I have gad several Flip and Fold devices and with regards to tge Golds I havnt used them as much as I thought. This was dye to the thin and tall form factor. The Fold 8 flips this, I love using the front screen for all my notifications and quick browsing but when I need to I open up to a tablet size that is much better to use. And every time you pick up the Fold 8 you are surprised by how light it is, you expect it to be heavier, and it jyst feels right to hold and use. This has now for me anyway replaced both my Fold and Flip phones

Am amazed by this device it is perfect for me, as someone who had the fold a couple of years ago and loved the ideas of a folding phone, i just could not get on with the size of the device struggling to fit it into my pocket so had to move to the flip 7. The the passport size came along, yes a little larger than the flip 7, but omg the size is just perfect, the display is great and bright, battery is night and day to my old flip 7 and the hinge just feels more premium and it fis in my pocket. It's the perfect middle ground and know am going to continue to love this phone.

The smaller display of the front screen is a refreshing change in terms of how it fits in my hand when using it with one hand and the responsiveness of app continuity is great when changing between the two screens which is also helped by the snappy feel of the new hinge. I was at first cautious when using the inside larger screen due to older folding screens feeling delicate but the durability has been massively improved. The battery life of the phone is very comparable if not better than my previous phone, the iphone 16 plus which i got the larger size for the battery, so i dont have to be worried about using the new phone for productivity and media streaming all day and still have charge left until i go to sleep.

I am blown away by this phone so far. For years I've said the trend of huge phones that just get taller is frustrating. They're uncomfortable and impractical. This is the perfect form factor - so easy to hold, and the large folded out screen is amazing. Most importantly, it's a true joy to use folded as well because the screen is a perfect size. Feels great in the pocket too. So far the hinge has only creased a little so I just hope it's durable over time. If so, it's perfect. Not gone below 50% battery with moderate use on both screens, including games. Samsung, kudos. This is a game changer!

Made the change from Fold 7 few days ago and don't regret it that's for sure. My Lavander colour tiny piece of tech Fold 8 is a masterpiece indeed 🫠 The "passport phone" stays charged almost 20 hours, fits perfectly in my hands ( girl hands, btw) , and now I have turned it pink all over, from the cover, to the screen 😄 I can't remember since I have written messages with both hands, and I love it . Opened for reading is something else. The hinge is strong and you can't see the middle line on the screen anymore. I am purely in love with it ❤️ 😍 💖

It's very good and interesting form factor, but the price is quite high for the features and the device which is really disappointing.

I've had two foldables in my time that have improved my life including the Samsung Z Fold 2, and the Honor Magic V3. They've been incredible phones, and foldable phones give you much more of a different life style than normal phones do and I'm blessed to be able to own one. When I'm doing something quick I can use the cover screen, and then when I'm doing something longer the bigger internal screen is key. But honestly the longer I have the fold for, the more I slip back into using just the cover screen, and just ignore the larger screen inside. That's not the case with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. This smaller design might just be exactly what I've been looking for for years and not known it. I've always gone for the bigger phone, and when transferring everything from one to the other, I often look at the smaller phone and think "how did I get by with this?" With this phone I've had the opposite affect! When looking at the taller candy bar sized phone I'm thinking "how did I use such a tall phone?" the Z Fold 8 is honestly the perfect size. It fits in pockets easily and anything that needs doing fast ice got a small outlet for it, and because it's not too big I can get on with my day. But if I need entertainment and the like on breaks, unfold this beauty into the perfect media consuming device. The aspect ratio is perfect for widescreen media, photos fit perfectly in the 4:3 screen and look amazing, and honestly it just makes sense to be like this. I've only had the phone for a few days and honestly my day to day routine has been changed for the better already. Thank you Samsung!

The battery is definitely keeping the phone on longer. I found the wide form better especially for using the phone digital keyboard. On the small display some of the texts contained inside a box are not displayed entirely but that could be because of how that app resize the content on the small screen and because of using a bigger font

I'm loving this new phone, the display is great on the front screen and really comes to life when you unfold it, the hinge/fold in the main screen is totally unnoticeable. The size of the phone i thought maybe too wide, but I was mistaken it fits great in my pockets and feels good in the hand. The battery seems great too as I've had this since Monday (now Thursday night) and have been constantly using it and setting it all up etc. I have only charged it twice. It feels very well made, responsive and only time will tell if it's durability will be enough. But so far 5 Stars from me 😍

It's a phone that just feels right in your hand. Perfect front screen display size and perfect size mini tablet when it's open. Feels easier to open the larger Ultra. I was going to get the Ultra until I tried the zfold 8.

I was skeptical to begin with as to the new shape having owned a z fold 5 for a couple of years. However the fold 8 is a fantastic addition to the line up, it fits so much more nicely into a pocket, and I don't feel I need to open it to take photos. The battery life so far is is tremendous, I get 2 days from a full charge. The display is crisp, bright, and the screen is as responsive as ever for a samsung device. All in all a great purchase. I even bought a second one for my wife, and recommended a colleague get one. Who subsequently has moving from iPhone in the process.

Much lighter and thinner than it's great,great ma' the Z Fold2; a phone I loved and my first folding phone. But that device got stuck on Android 13. The Z Fold 8 will get at least seven major upgrades and so it should being a flagship entity. The first thing that hits you is the size. Suggestive of a passport, it fits easily into a pocket; 9.7mm when folded. It is considerably thinner that what I had. It is 4.5mm when unfolded. When opened it is roughly the size of an Amazon Kindle. The screen has significantly less glare and razor sharp resolution of 1828x2448 and featuring an AMOLED 2X display. The camera features two 50 Megapixel cameras on the rear of unit plus two additional cameras; one on the cover screen and the other on the main. Sadly there is no telephoto lens. Using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, I find blazing fast and able to cope with most tasks that I do. In the course of time, more and more applications will be written/rewritten to take advantage of fold screens. In settings under Display》Aspect Ratio, every application can be set to run in full screen mode. Enjoying this phone so far as a massive improvement over my previous phone.

Battery so far appears to be good, display is awesome, durabiliity will.tell te tale further down the line. The hinge is super important and I will ensure that it is always protectedlastly the responsiveness is fast the only issue is when the cover is on the buttons are not not readily or easily accessible as the cover is in the way. I opted for the z fold 8 instead of the ultra as I have had always the same ie ultra. The price and size compared is 100 % better choice as I got the z fold 8 512MB

As always I find Samsung phones easy to use. With the fold it’s easy to see everything clearly and thus don’t always need my glasses to see what I’m doing. So far the battery life is showing to be good and as I use my phone constantly that’s a bonus. Hope this phone lasts me as long as my last one, which I had for five years! Loved it so much I didn’t want a new one, but it was time and so far this one is much better. Still I have much to learn about all the capabilities of my new phone. Being of the older generation I will take my time.

This is the perfect phone/tablet for me, it's given me a really decent lightweight android version of an iPad mini that does everything I need a small tablet to do which just so happens to fold in half and fit perfectly in my pocket, then in phone mode it's got such a great outer display that works so well for photos, maps, pdfs, browser etc etc. it's so thin and light it's ridiculous that it's even possible! Battery life is so good easily a day sometimes even two, Screen quality is perfect, hinge feels great, I could go on and on and on

Blown away by the Z Fold8 , great form factor and size, the inner display is absolutely beautiful and in a small way feels it quite large, its the first foldable im really happy with, it's built for durability and just feels solid, with a solid hinge and yet easier to handle than previous versions. The battery holds up well considering I've been on it all the time and it is yet to improve still. I would love to see Samsung Dex running natively on the inner display, it would be a total game changer, I also feel this form factor deserves the reintroduction of the sPen on the foldables, the cover screen is perfect for scribbling notes and the inner display for the inner artist. Furthermore, im very happy with my decision on the Fold8, I shall not look back...

I've been using the Galaxy Z Fold8 for a short while now and I'm genuinely impressed. The display is stunning, both inside and out, and the larger screen is fantastic for multitasking, reading documents and watching videos. Performance is incredibly responsive, with apps opening instantly and everything feeling smooth. The hinge feels solid and well engineered, giving confidence when opening and closing the phone. Battery life has comfortably lasted me through a full day of normal use. Samsung has also refined the software experience, making great use of the foldable screen with useful multitasking features. Overall, this feels like the most polished Fold yet. It's expensive, but if you're looking for the best foldable experience available, it's easy to recommend.

What an amazing phone! The form factor has reshaped my whole outlook on what a mobile phone can do. This is my first foldable device and to be honest, I've been reluctant to make the switch but boy am I glad I did. The cover display on its own is so useful, I find I use it for every day stuff like emails and answering messages. But when I want to do a bit more, I open the phone and use that amazing large screen. That hinge mechanism is a thing of beauty! Battery life has been solid and is getting better each day as the phone optimises things. On my third charge I had about 35% left at the end of the day. Performance wise, the responsiveness of the display and OneUI is so slick and speedy. Awesome. My one remaining question mark is over durability but that will be answered in the time to come. The device certainly feels solid so I am expecting good things.

Love that i can see my Lightroom pictures on this screen. Which is also the best size for streaming tv and films. A good clear display. The battery time is longer than I expected. The keyboard layout on the unfolded screen is perfect. Love that there is no line on the display around the hinge. The responsiveness between small screen and open screen is seamless. 4/5 stars only because I would love this screen to be able to have a stylus.

Suits me nicely, moved over from Z flip 2 to 5 then to fold 8. This phone suits my large hands and I find the keys easy to use and it is truly responsive to touch. All in all a good choice.

The device was easy to set up and use straight out of the box. The dual screen is a game changer. I can now read attachments straight from email in full view and be more efficient with my time. The hinge seems very strong and does not impare any viewing on the main screen. The phone is compact and folded is smaller that me Galaxy S24 Ultra which is a plus, however, when unfolded provides a more substantial viewing screen.

Loving the phone so far. I was scared of the size because I loved how small the flip 7 is and i changed to the fold 8 but the size is perfect folded and unfolded. I have small hands and i can still hold it comfortably in any mode. The phone is very responsive and quick. The graphics is good and the apps i use look good in both modes. So far it is durable, I have just been using it for a few days but it slipped from my hands once and it remained unscattered. The hinge looks solid and smooth, barely any crease when unfolded but i have never had any issues with the crease, i find it part of the package of having a foldable phone so it never bothered me both on the fold and even when i used the flip 7. The battery so far is fine. lasts the whole day even with every use. I got it in lavender and i love the colour (I am a big purple fan), I use clear cases because the colour deserves to be shown off and not covered up.

Brilliant phone. The display is clear and bright and when open the hinge is bearly perceivable. The responsiveness is excellent and so far battery life and durability meets expectations.

The Z Fold 8 is frankly stunning and a refreshing change it what was becoming a stale phone market. The format just works and feels perfect in your hand. Once you open up to the main screen something you don't notice, if you're looking for it, is the crease. The technology used to reduce the visibility and feel of the crease is a huge step forward, as is the anti reflective coating and brightness of the screen. Despite all that I keep switching back to the front screen and just smiling at it's perfection!

I liked the display was crystal clear with videos. The ratios were nice. Battery didn't seem to decrease on high specs

I'm still getting to know my new Z8 phone (up to now i like the Z8). So far its been easy to swop everything over from old to new, and seems to have not missed any apps or personal data. At the moment the battery is lasting all day. I miss my smart pen which my S24 had which was very useful particularly if you have big hands and fingers. The size is very similar to the S24 when closed, display is bright and clear. Only longer use will determine the phones durability but the hinge is firm and opens and closes nicely which looks good for the Z8's longevity. The Z8 is 5G so I'm hoping it will react a bit quicker, I'm excited to use my new phone more and hoping to find and use any new added features compared to my old S24. I've not used any AI features/commands yet so can't really give a true rating. Regards Steve M.

It is almost 7pm and today I have used tiktok, prime video, camera and WhatsApp throughout the day and my battery is at 77%. The display is really good, nice clean clear picture on both screens. Hinge is stiff but not too bad, enough to not accidentally open it Durability is good, feels like a good sturdy phone to use Responsiveness is exactly as you expect from a new phone. Upgraded from Samsung S23 and so happy I did. Though my S23 was still perfect, I watch tv a lot so this is better suited

The responsiveness is great, image quality as well alongside the battery durability. Although worries about the creasing of the screen and potential damage to it after multiple foldings

Got my new Lavender fold 8 this week to replace my Flip 6. Am really liking the size as can do most things when folded, the flip outer screen was too small for most things. When want to work, read or play games can open up and have fabulous viewing screen. Love that can pop things side by side so can work from 2 things at once. Can also put 3 up if needed which is useful. The hinge seems very smooth and sturdy so far. Battery lasts well and lots of features built in to help improve battery health, like delayed full charge overnight. Lots of options to protect from theft etc and lock access if snatched. Screen can be fully utilised by hiding the status bars and having swipe gestures instead. Camera has lots of new things to try out and can be used for more professional content in Raw setting. Generally I am very happy I upgraded to the new phone. At the moment shock proof cases are a bit limited which is definitely something I need. Am sure new things will become available soon. I think this affected great next step up from the flip series if want something a bit larger and more functional. Def a larger outlay but did get a good trade in on my older phone as well as some discounts.

After vowing never to buy another flip/fold phone after a bad experience with the Zfold 3, I am more than delighted and impressed with the Z Fold 8. Fantastic phone, light and pleasing to hold. Functionality is breathtaking! My opinion will only get better the more that i use it!
